Single-Seat Sofas: Big Comfort in a Small Footprint

A single-seat sofa is one of the most flexible seating pieces in an office. Whether you want to set up a guest corner in an executive office, create a personal seat in a waiting area or flank a larger sofa, a one-person model does the job well. Thanks to their compact build, they add a warm touch to the seating layout even when space is tight. In this category you will find single-seat options from Casella's Craft, Mars, Murano, Murano Plus, Rico, Cubix, Handy, Edge, Stone and Nubo series.

Where and how to use them

Placing two single-seat sofas facing each other in an executive office makes it easier to move from a formal desk meeting to a more relaxed conversation. In waiting areas, single models give each visitor personal space, so nobody has to sit shoulder to shoulder with a stranger. Often thought of as armchairs, these pieces also make a practical resting spot in the corner of a meeting room or in a break area of an open-plan office.

Choosing by size

Dimensions vary from series to series; examples include 87x85x79 cm, 100x90x70 cm, 110x92x75 cm and 114x85x69 cm. A more compact model suits a tight corner, while a fuller, wider one suits a spacious lobby. The sitting position also varies by model: a low, deep seat feels more relaxing, while a more upright one is practical for short waits and meetings. When planning the layout, leave a comfortable walkway in front of the sofa and check the door swing. In high-traffic areas, an easy-to-clean surface also makes life simpler in the long run.

Complete the seating group

The Rico, Stone, Handy and Edge series also include two-seater sofas and three-seater sofas, so a whole seating group can share the same look. Murano and Murano Plus, with their single and two-seater versions, suit smaller groupings.
