Wall length and clearance

Three-seaters take up the most room of all office sofas; in this category you will find sizes such as 208x77x77 cm, 219x89x67 cm, 225x85x69 cm and 233x88x68 cm. At widths of over two metres, a few centimetres can decide whether the sofa fits the wall, so check with a tape measure on site rather than on paper. Allow some breathing room at both ends when you measure the wall, otherwise the area will look narrower than it is. Keep a comfortable walkway in front of it, and in high-traffic spaces such as reception, make sure it does not block doors or corridors.

Lobby, reception and executive office

Lobbies and reception areas are the natural home of a three-seater: it gives waiting guests plenty of seating while letting you furnish the space with just a few pieces. In a large executive office, a three-seater becomes the centre of a more relaxed conversation corner, separate from the desk.
